Consider this: Countries like The Phillippines and Sri Lanka, which offer excellent primary education (indeed the literacy rates of these countries are well into the nineties), have "domestic helps" as their most distinguishable export to the "first world."India (which has shoddy primary education, but a much better developed secondary education system and where the literacy rate is just slightly over sixty), however is credited with supplying the largest number
of IT professionals and medicos to 'the West' and is now being hailed as one of the world's fastest growing knowledge economy!
